Payment Flow

After the merchant app initiates a payment request, SUNBAY prompts the customer to perform payment operations (swipe, insert, tap, scan, etc.). After the customer provides payment credentials, SUNBAY submits the transaction to the payment provider for processing and returns the result synchronously to the merchant. Step 7 is an optional asynchronous webhook notification, mainly used for cloud API integration scenarios; it’s typically not needed for terminal integration.

In-Person Payments

Tapro Payment Semi-Integration

Tapro is a payment application running on payment terminal devices, providing professional payment solutions for offline merchants. Through semi-integration mode, merchant POS systems can deeply integrate with the Tapro app, achieving separation of business and payment.

Usage Mode

Deep integration with POS systems. The POS system handles business logic such as order management and inventory management, while the Tapro App focuses on payment processing. This clear division of responsibilities ensures business flexibility while reducing security compliance requirements for POS systems.

• Grocery & Big Box Stores: Multi-lane checkout scenarios where POS systems drive PIN pads via semi-integration to quickly process swipe and contactless payments.

1. Initiate Payment: POS sends command to system specifying payment amount.
2. Terminal Response: Tapro terminal automatically launches checkout interface.
3. Customer Payment: Customer completes swipe or scan operation on the terminal.
4. Sync Status: After successful payment, POS system receives result in real-time and automatically completes checkout.

• Cloud Integration - Server remotely controls terminal to complete payments via Cloud API, supporting complex business logic and multi-terminal management, suitable for chain stores, SaaS platforms, and other scenarios, no local network required, terminals can be distributed across different locations
